ST, 24 May 2018MIUI..Too bloated and frankly, too Chinese. The app store ... moreThere is global ROM, which is with google play store and have no Chinese store.
That is the ROM meant for you. You can flash this on their phone.

Even better, unlock it and flash Xiaomi.eu that is the best MIUI rom.

Tushar, 24 May 2018You need to root your device in order to get rid of the sys... moreThe best what can be done is to unlock the bootloader, install TWRP and flash xiaomi.eu ROM. It is same as the stock, but without the chinese apps and with google services. The advantage of such approach is that you can install whatever MIUI ROM from xiaomi.eu without loosing data. You can use for a while developer ROMs and if you want, you can flash the stable one. The stock MIUI allows to install only newer ROMs, so if you are running developer ROM, you can't go back to stable. If a weekly developer ROM is buggy, you can't revert to previous simply flashing it, but you have to wait for a fix or you have to backup everytime and make fresh install and recover data from backup.

Liking miui, imho the best UI if vanilla/stock isnt available (which is the case on most smartphones). Only the bloatware it comes with is hillarious, but much better than on EMUI (Huawei/Honor).

Just use "System App Remover" and you can remove most of bundled apps. The rest of features are actually really useful. It's so convenient I don't need half of apps I used on Huawei before...

Outside of stock (ehem, Pixel's..) android, MIUI is the best supported android skin on the market.
Okay, it sucks at rolling out actual android version update but it always gives MIUI update to 'significantly older' Xiaomi phones that includes bug fixes, additional features and security updates

It seems you are somebody who has not used Android on a half decent phone. It is far from slow and buggy, despite being flexible and powerful. So much so the only competition is in a constant state of catch-up, is slower in day to day use and has so many bugs it needs constant bug-fix updates.

You can't be serious. MIUI is an iOS wannabe to begin with.
