Whackcar, 23 May 2018I fully believe it. U11 had a better camera than S8. So U12... morefunny thing is, when samsung achieved 1st place for a while, they took it very seriously, even called a press conference and made some flyers about it... i wonder if they can deny that now :)

Samsung fanboys will keep calling it fake, paid & stuff like that. Haha.

Even Apple has overtaken Samsung. Of course new iphones will pass S9+.
A8 got 78, while Zenfone 5 got 90.

no body should care about these minor updates
people with a 2013 phone flagship phone is able to capture really good photos
s4,s5,s6,s7....G2,G3,G4,G5.... and other brands apple, htc, Motorola... pixel.
I have a g5 not the fastest around but there are not a lot of apps that demands more than a sd800 and 2gb of ram ... there are no bad pictures on good brand camera phone.

I still wonder why people say the site is paid. Can somebody please show like exposes or receipts or scandals or something? Not something circumstaintial like results or methodologies?
I mean if I want to believe so, but there is no compelling evidence that would expose them in a court of law.

To have thorough knowledge of manual mode is like expecting every app user to be a developer, which will never happen. Besides if I am supposed to use manual, I will rather use my SLR..

Great performance considering bokeh/zoom got p20pro better, it shoots in 12mp (not 10), also it got 3D audio recording, and thats better than some with mono.
Of course dxo does not count such ''minor'' features. Should be better than u11+, cannot wait to see that.

If ever GSM Arena decides to do a shootout between U11(+) and U12+, I hope they do it with the HDR Boost set to auto in both devices.
Who knows, newer firmware and extra processing power (SD845) can yield noticeably better results for the U12+

Exposure/contrast (dynamic range), colour, texture, artifacts and noise are only things that matter, if we are talking about camera quality. Three of 5 were pretty low.

... moreThey just test auto. Then phones are using different settings. Which keeps you from knowing what software is best.
Manual is where you can extrect whole power.
Auto is not even 60% as good as manual. If companies provide this, it is because they expect ppl to use.
They dont check if EIS is on by default on phones without OIS. Then they complain.
They ignore the fact phones have different focal lenghth, FOV and DOF. They expect a 24mm to show as much detail as a 30mm phone without moving the wider camera phone near the object to capture same amount of the scene.
They dont use tripods. Body shakes naturally, but you cant guarantee you did not shake the different amount for each phone. This can ruin a photo.
Youtubers dont know that the aperture f is proportional to sensor size. The f1.8 for 1/3" is not same size of f1.8 for 1/2.5".
Than they bash any device with f1.9 or f2.0.
They also dont know the DOF changes with different f value.

The pictures look like the ones of U11. No wonder, it´s the same main sensor. And there are no real lowlight pictures in this review. So the U12+ only scores higher than U11 because of the new zoom lens. Disappointing and no real progress in terms of picture quality.
GSMArena: Please review U12 camera directly against U11. I´m quite sure that there will be no difference in low light and in general picture quality.

Also newer sensor have better output, newer cpu brings better processing.

Now it's up to the readers what to do with this revelation by dxomark. LOL...

Come on people. Advertising is not great when you are just paying for the sake of being the best. Remember when Nokia's PureView 808 was reviewed? It has the lowest score! That was the only first camera to have the innovation used still in the present. The Lumia 1020 was really good of its time but gave it a low score. What can I say about this group? Photographers that gives only care for a product when paid millions!
Yes, he's still a dude reviewing tech, not cameras.
