The only one that comes close to it in terms of effciency is the iOS keyboard. But it's not that well designed as the one on Windows phones.
And meh... there is no comparable keyboard on Android. All of them are just clunky and/or have really bad designs/colours/button shapes/layouts/etc.

I'm using Gboard because I like the layout and its functions but totally dislike how it is calibrated! It's very difficult to always hit the right key. Lots of instead of Ms, spaces instead of Bs and Ns, deletes instead of L. It drives me nuts!
On every one of my phones. No problems with other keyboards. I really miss the keyboard on my Lumia... not many features, no haptic feedback but you never pressed the wrong key.

Which is weird why people said they prefer Gboard rather than Swiftkey when i mentioned it last week lol. Gboard was not really great when it was launch, and it became better and actually pretty good now but one thing is the words prediction aren't as good as swiftkey. I tried it for 2 days and it just couldn't get most words right as compared to Swiftkey and i changed back. Now we know where the problem is haha.

And thats why I prefer swiftkey, apart from the fact that I prefer the look and feel of the swiftkey keyboard as well

I never use any of GBOARD Feature except "period-after-double-space". Because every feature they add, it's slowing down the main keyboard itself.

I've had this exact problem - I thought I'd got a problem with my settings but couldn't fix it. I spent hours trying.
I use SwiftKey now. It still spellchecks.

What is much more important is that the dictionary sync has disappeared. I bought a new phone and the sync option is missing, I have to teach the keyboard again.
Never used spell check, it's useless when swype typing, and the only reason to type without swiping is to add new words to the dictionary, so spell check isn't helpful there.

Yeah. I don't mind that cause I always turn it off once I bought a new phone!
It's still not good until now. I'll just keep it disabled.
