Mike, 28 May 2018Moto Z devices were once known for better than usual batter... moreThat's not true. Motorola, in their "Z Play" phones, stick with 1080p screens and lighter processors, and the battery life shines despite a normal capacity.

Maybe there will be a mod that will add back a headphone jack.
Actually you know what would be awesome? A mod that will have both the 3.5 and 1/4in headphone connectors, a small amplifier, and high-level DSP/DAC chips, etc. A true audiophile mod.

I can't buy this. No headphone jack, no buy. I would have dealt with the glass back, if I still got my buddy jack...but my buddy jack means...no go.
If the rumor of a G6 Plus with a Snapdragon 660 is true...that would be the better buy.

I hope the 5G Moto Mod doubles as a battery pack, as additional antennas have a tendency to raise battery consumption. But congrats, they are making 5G backwards compatible

Moto Z devices were once known for better than usual battery life because they had big batteries. Unfortunately, those times are now over so in general there's no special reason to buy Moto anymore.

Good. Now, make all your phones to be Moto Mod too so that it will be appealing to consumers.

Lol, that mod make it even taller, what happens with the battery drain with the 5G mod? Bigger? Less duration? Does it have its own extra battery? You can't use the 5G mod and the battery mod at the same time, and are supposed to have different features, with only 3000 mAh.... The price for that mid range could be stratospheric, about all because it's rumoured to come in packs with a mod... so you, at least, must pay one mod too.
