With this design... It is definitely a NO... Why this ugly bottom bezel is there?! It has a very unbalanced design... Now i am waiting for the Lenovo Z5 and i hope they will bring what they have promised :$

I can't understand why anyone would want to get this over the Mix 2s. From the image they look almost the same except the 2s doesn't have a notch on top, so its screen to body ratio is probably better. The 8 doesn't really seem to improve significantly specs-wise either.

They have smallest bottom bezel for sure, other bottom bezels barely a few milimeters thicker than iPhone X. Since iPhone X has thicker side bezels even than mid-range Android phones it has more balanced bezels all around.
Apple folded display drivers via flexible OLED technology, but probably this effort makes the display ridiculously expensive. Nearly twice as expensive than S9's display for example as well I remember.
iPhone X looks alikes G7, Zenfone 5 and most probably Mi7 uses LCD screens so it's probably not possible. OnePlus 6 has an OLED screen though it might be a rigid one considering budget sensitivity. Anyways Zenfone 5, Mi7 and OP6 are all cost sensitive phones. Paying extra $100-150 just for 3-4mm less bottom bezels hardly would make their customers happy I suppose.

Why does the second photo appear to show a finger print scanner on the back of the phone, I thought the recent rumours suggested it had an in screen finger print scanner, are they incorrect or is only on an higher spec model?

After 3 years unlock the bootloader and install custom roms even Lineage or something and it will be up to speed. Plus the fact of less stress in handling it. I am in for sure - if I do not go for the Mix2S
