Motorola G5S Plus gets updated to Android 8.1

I have been loyal to Lenovo/Motorola, but I'm getting tired of their policy with upgrades. I had a Lenovo K5 that never was updated (officially) and a Moto X2 (also never upgraded). Now I have a G5s Plus and I see that the upgrade is not coming.... but you see that the new Motorola ONE has the same hardware specs of the G5s Plus and then you think "why should I pay Motorola for the same hardware if the only thing new they give is a new version of android". I used LINEAGE (unofficial OS) on the Moto X2 and also installed in the old Lenovo K5 and works fine. Motorola is just playing with us.

Can anyone help me?
I downloaded the Oreo update on my phone then when I tried to install it gave me an error with the dead Android icon. I looked at the error log and it gave me this: "modem/image/cmnlib.b01 has unexpected contents"

finally got my moto G5s plus 8.1 update (channel islands) all seems to be working fine and liking the new look, only 14months after release, I be buying android one next time!!

I like moto mobile, but there is a battery fast loss after the update in G5s plus. Fingerprint lock works slow.

Got the Moto G5s Plus Android 8.1 update.
But is this the original Oreo update?
Or has the original Oreo been tweaked down by Moto for purposes of this update?
(Although the G5S Plus sells as a 64 bit phone, it is actually a 32 bit phone.
And the original Oreo is for 64 bit phones only.)

I check for an update on moto g5s + and i get notified for oreo update before downloading update i factory reset my mobile after that i can't see any update . What should i do know?

I got Oreo update but after 6% download it automatically stops and then I switched off the phone then it showing that phone is up to date with 7.1 not out, how to get Oreo update

I have received my update
There is 3 finger screenshot option in moto gesture. But no long screenshot option.
The notification bar scroll down background and app system background is turned into white. Not at all liking it. There are some interesting features like gesture zoom in and zoom out.
