I am also on October 2017 security patch with my Taiwanese G6 H870DS... I mean there's Android P around the corner and we are still waiting for 8.0 (point ZERO!!!).

suarez92, 30 May 2018Yeah I know the feeling, with premium phone (P10 Plus Huawe... moreNah. I'll just wait cause sometimes major updates can be troubling too like my Galaxy S3 updated to Lollipop before.
I thought my phone was dead because of that bootlooping issues, but miraculously Samsung customer service fixed my phone well.

Geric.770, 30 May 2018Actually, my Y7 Prime is getting 2 security updates last Se... moreYeah I know the feeling, with premium phone (P10 Plus Huawei) I waited fromn December 2017 till April for Oreo and didnt get It, so i bought Mate 10 Pro. You'll probably get Oreo but not anytime soon.

suarez92, 30 May 2018Why is that surprise? LG and Huawei are VERY SLOW with upda... moreActually, my Y7 Prime is getting 2 security updates last September and this month. I'm still waiting for the Oreo update, since the official Huawei website confirms it.

(P.S. the May update also brings the Watermark mode for camera and battery optimization quirks, and it's good!)

Geric.770, 30 May 2018October? Seriously??? My Y7 Prime even has May security up... moreWhy is that surprise? LG and Huawei are VERY SLOW with updates. If you buy some Huawei LITE phone you can expect only one update per use of phone and maybe one security patch through use. With G3 LG I waited marshmallow so long, and got it when Nougat start rolling out.

Kangal, 30 May 2018:( Still on Android 7.0 with the "1 October 2017" security... moreSony delivers very quick yet stable updates with still lots of customizations despite not having Android One. They're about the same speed as Nokia witu Android One, so I imagine they might be EVEN FASTER than Google themselves to update if they join the Android One community LOL.

In Czech rep I received Oreo update 23/5/2018. Plus some update on LG sw.
Most notable on camera UI. In new one is removed doubled mode button, or I dont know how it is called in english. Now only: setup/mode/color filter/ front-rear/ flash. So before you entered square mode and then under other button selected 4pics mode. Now everything is under one button. There are some new things now, but I miss old UI. Most anoying is that once camera off (like lock phone), it always return to normal mode. Before was returning to latest mode (eg. square). And I never use color filter option.

Kangal, 30 May 2018:( Still on Android 7.0 with the "1 October 2017" security... moreOctober? Seriously???
My Y7 Prime even has May security update for this year.
Wow, can't believe LG is very lazy on updates.

                        :(
Still on Android 7.0 with the "1 October 2017" security patch.

It's this reason why the new Nokia 7 Plus is attractive, AndroidOne support was always a simple solution that all OEMs neglected until now (Samsung, LG, Sony, HTC, Motorola, Blackberry, Lenovo, Huawei, Oppo, Xiaomi). The only one that was close was the Google-run Motorola with the Original Moto G, that all changed when Lenovo took the helm of course.

And the unlocked versions in India still continues to wait. Bravo LG ... how encouraging for your existing buyers who buy a flagship from you by paying the full amount (leave aside the other low and mid-segment devices).
Almost every manufacturer has Oreo rolled out at least for their prior year flagships by now. Amazing.
