This must be false. Try to do the math... the VP said the device will have a 95+% screen to body ratio. If you calculate the edge this allows for on a device with dimensions such as the OnePlus 6 (155.7 x 75.4), the edge can be no wider than 1.2mm. If they they incorporated a chin all the way in the bottom the edge would have to be ridiculously thin. So this will not be true unless the 95+% ratio was a lie.

But after how Android OEMs implemented it and somehow made it better than Apple did, I'm actually a fan of it now.
Only wish phones with notch to have OLED screen so that the notch can be hidden perfectly well.
