Qualcomm's Snapdragon 1000 chip may fight Intel in the ultrabook market

01 June 2018
With a noticeably higher TDP than the mobile chips, the 1000 will be able to run at higher clock speeds.

If only ARM is just as mechanically capable of x32/x64 then we would have Windows 10 Professional on ultrabooks. Imagine playing Crysis with that.

Qualcomm should stop there and stay with the mobile market. Only Intel and AMD are and always the duopoly of PC hardware.

Would also like a snapdragon with i5-u TDP, which is 15 watts. Imagine what a beast of an ARM chip you could do with 15 watts.

an OS are useless without healthy amount of app. UWP are still a barren platform and the x86 app that run on Windows 10 on ARM are pretty much hit and miss. until they fix it while also add x64 app support, it's pretty much still an unanimated corpse
