Samsung is just lazy company full of lazy people who sell mediocre quality products for a price of a superexpensive flagships but when it comes to after sales services and support their people really dont know what to do.
Stop defending them. Other companies doesnt have a stock android and have much more frequent updates.
hell it might take even decades!
let me make an example: i guess we are all aware of dirty cow? are not?
it took 11 years to be able to fix it.
even STH as small as fonts might take month to be fixed.
so i guess you have no idea how it works!

it is on Microsoft to decide to support hardware or not, and AFAIK u can install win 10 on almost 15 year old hardware!(i did it on an old dell mode was STH like 1520/1530 really not sure about it)

But no. Where Samsung phones starts with Nougat you wait a 1 year for Oreo even with S8 flagship. Where Samsung adds oreo 8.0 others have 8.1. long long time.
Even for a Samsung updating schedule is someone from Samsung responsible.
But in case of Samsung there one person dont know what other person do.
Its same problem as Poundland in UK had with some of its shops.
Where managers of these shops had no idea to who even belongs.
                                Thats the true story.
                                Samsung is like cursed company.

Some stress to Intel to provide more powerful low power processors but to be honest you can't expect anything groundbraking in processing power from arm on ultrabooks. Still i series will dominate notebook market and some cheap low power ultrabooks will be powered by Qualcomm and Intel mix of processors nothing really revolutional. Unless Apple will incorporate their A series into ultrabooks, that would be definitely interesting, cause they are far more ahead than Qualcomm or Intel in processing power
