Wondering if these get charged via USB C or proprietary port?

Annas, 05 Jun 2018Same like everything else right? i mean even the macbooks o... moreThat's totally false. You could just go to the nearest Apple retailer and get a hold on MacBook. It's all aluminum chassis inside-out. Or if you don't want to go anywhere, just google with keyword "macbook stray bullet" to see the proof that macbook uses all aluminum chassis.

Annas, 05 Jun 2018Same like everything else right? i mean even the macbooks o... moreNope. Usually the chassis is fully aluminum (give or take a few stubs and reinforcements), with some being magnesium and others being carbon fiber (Dell and Lenovo flagships). It was Asus that started the trend of making an ABS/plastic computer "like usual" but then cover the outside in aluminum (to create the illusion of having the same "aluminum unibody" as others, only at a much cheaper production price).

Their initial hinge failures tell the troubling story with this cheap choice.

That secondary screen sure looks like a great implementation compared to the mac touch bar. From the description, it is much more useful.

Apple can copy it & claim to have the biggest secondary screen, innovation!

Maybe the zenbook pro is inspired by razer phone laptop dock

(although it wasn't the smoothest) the keyboard zone broke when I accidentally dropped it. I am using a Dell vostro now. It's decent for work. (and Osu moved to my monster in the couple room of our apartment)

Geric.770, 05 Jun 2018I'm a fan of this ZenBooks. That metallic finish is just great. They are cheap ultrabooks. Metallic exterior is nice indeed, but it's only the exterior layer. Inside you have a plastic chassis, some models had widespread hinge failures, and the cooling solution was far from the best. Hope they have moved-on to USB-C charging, as their low-cost charging port sucked (many broken ports and loose connectors).
