i bet that 75% of ppl doesn`t even have a quad core on their PC`s or notebooks, so, if you need a quad core on a smartphone something is wrong...

Anonymous, 18 Sep 2011the galaxy had been out since mid 2010... this is coming... morei think u can't count. the time gap is only 2 years but count about the product update and OS update with in this short time, as i know a product warranty about a product is 1 year. but Samsung provide I9000, I9001, I9001Plus, is 3 product with in 1 year and also a lot of Galaxy. study more about it than reply. Don't try to be foolish your self.

specs are true about the processor for sure as told to me by a samsung rep. expected release is may 2012.

actually android gave the way to the great success to samsung...samsung must be thankfull to google...a high potential changes happened in smartphone world within 1.5 years since 2010..and began to consider hardware specs ..(ram,prcssr,gpu,display,high end connectivities,hd cam ..)etc.like a pc..if these were not happend.stil we would have continued with typical nokia phones...till the end of the world...android turned on the smartphones

I hope in the future samsung would develop and sell a battery technology which can accomodate an android device equipped with longlife battery life.
Right now in term of battery life, i didn't found any difference between my old htc magic with low processor and low battery capacity spec compared to my sgs2 with dual core and higher battery capacity.
It is still 8-10 hours life with online data mode is on

Take a look at Samsung's line up history and you will find that they've used the "quadrangle keypad/home button" on most of their devices. They are just continuing their design traditions since the early 2000s. In fact, some phones released back in 2005 had circle keypad/home buttons that were placed below the screen.

The parts that cost more are all inside the phone and compared to SGSII, iPhone is far far behind. The internal parts do become cheaper as time passes, so imagine the iPhone mark up after year and a half as opposed to Samsung devices' decrease in price over time.

yeah..you are rite on those case.
I CLEARLY wanna say that Android OS is better than iOS. I use iphone since 1st generation iphone, iphone 3Gs then iphone4, sold my iphone4 a week after i bought it, 'kiss and say goodbye - Manhattan' is the song dedicated to my iphone4,thats my last iphone for me.
It is because i din see any different ( mostly UI and ability to customize ) between iphone1 and iphone4. it just the same thing i look every moment i witch on my phone..it is because the things that i want not going to happen / available on iOS platform.
Im not sayin iphone is bad, but for the value of money we spend must be for something worthy, user friendly and useful. Why i have to pay more JUST for the front and back glass and aluminium build since the iOS inside cant make me smile??
iphone released on 2007, at that moment..yeah..iphone is the greatest..unbeatable. But now, not anymore..keep that as iphone's greatest history.
the only thing why so many peoples hooked up with iphone is it brand..the brand.
peoples might not going to buy LG if LG use old brand named 'GoldStar'.LG mean 'Lucky Gold'.....the brand can create impression.
