these specs are superb. i love them, its awesome, but, do we really need these much power in a smartphone, think of it, the potentials of the already existing dual core smartphones are yet to be fully utilized.
Ohhh! I cant wait to lay hands on a dual core smartphone from the king of smart mobile phones.

I suspect they meant 1920x1080 (HD 1080). Not the near square 1280x1080 which is not any sort of common display resolution.

I don't buy it. That's an incredibly square phone with that ratio. It would be very awkward to handle if it had that ratio and had that big a diagonal. It's one thing to have a 16:9 phone (Nexus Prime supposedly) with a 4.65in screen. And quite another to have a 5:4 phone with the same diagonal screen. One has a screen width of 2.3 inches and the other has a screen width of 2.9 inches. To put this in perspective, the Galaxy S has a width of 2.7 inches. So this supposed GSIII would have a screen width alone wider than a Galaxy S body.
I can't see that selling.
So if the phone does have that ratio, it'll have to be a smaller screen (max 4.5 in) or it may just stick with the 16:9 ratio which works incredibly well for 720p content (no letterboxing).

i love these specs, really mindblowing, but, with these, where are we heading, are dual cores going to fade-off, even without our utilizing them to their full potentials?

- iphone dont have touch sensitive key,just 1 hardware key.
- SGS2 more thinner than any iphone
- iphone build from high quality material, but carrying CRAP OS.
- SGS2 build only from high quality plastic, and come with SUPER OS inside.
- iphone4 just a bit expensive coz the cost of it glass and aluminium body. thats the real reason why iphone 4 a bit expensive.this is what u pay for.
- imagine if SGS2 build with the same quality as iphone4 body..im sure u will cry to pay for it.
- have both phone in your hand side by side, then you can clearly see the differences ..unless you're blind.
the fact is here, just keep your eyes wide open.. Tim Cook not going to pay you a single penny for your stupid statements.

Just to emphasize on the comment made by 'I WAS HERE'. These samsung guys are just tryin to be ahead of their time in the mobile industry. I'm not tryin to condemn their idea of producin a tablet in the name of mobile phone. And already they are a big name in other fields of electrical appliances. But hey, instead of jam-packin their advanced researches and knowledge within computin devices I suggest they should diversify more. Let samsung company start producin automobile, maybe heavy duty trucks. I think that will add to their kudos
