Very meh. Glass back is a liability. Loss of jack is bad. Possibly means loss of FM radio too. I was kinda hopeful, but now i see i'll have to hope that the Pixel midranger makes it here.

The fingerprint sensor is not a power button like in the Sony phones so it has the power button at the left, and the volume ones at the right making turn off the display very uncomfortable. Asking $499 for this phone when you can buy literally some flagships for that price, even lower, is just not plausible, ridiculous when you know that future Z models will get new mods not compatible with this one as the compatibility period expires this year and Motorola will update the future format of the Z series.

Make the phones slightly thicker so no camera bump, then the battery can get over 3600 mAh, 3000mAh is just too small.

Wonder how this will work with a more powerhungry processor and smaller battery, compared to the original Z Play with the remarkable battery and power efficient processor.

Finally they got rid of the fingerprint reader, still that mic on the chin is - strange. Good one the mods work on this. Looking forward to future designs. Specwise it seems a solid midranger!

I'm disappointed. I waited for the specs of this phone to be official and Motorola helped to decide to get the Nokia 7 plus instead.

SohailSays, 06 Jun 2018So it is basically the same Moto Z2 Play.A little bit, but it's got a few upgrades on the older model. 6 inch screen, 18:9, better chipset, and ships with a battery mod.
