It is one or the other, or a removable scratch proof layer on top we can change whenever it shatters.

You are funny but Z2 force have a shatterproof display.
In other words you can droop it on concrete several times and nothing will happens where any flagship from other brands likee Apple, Huawei, Samsung, Sony, LG, HTC etc will break its screen like when you kick a ball trough closed window.

Anonymous, 08 Jun 2018Nice innovation, the best build quality, too bad marketing ... moreMan maybe you dont know but apple marketing cost millions.
They dont hesitate to pay some star couple of millions for advertising.
                  Thus the apple price.
Moto will sell its self because for a ver healthy price you get outstanding device.
Where in case of apple for 700 eur you get buggy laggy smartphone with barely working OS low specs ram weak battery and phone that does not support quickcharge wireless charging and SD cards also jack.
                  End of transmision :-)

Anonymous, 08 Jun 2018Clearing the stock that no ones wanted. lol They should gi... moreI think you need to understand some physics...

With currently known materials you can in one extreme have a very hard but very brittle material, and in the other a very elastic but also soft material. All known materials are below a 'line' between the two. You can not have hard AND elastic. It will be a compromise where the weight is put on the most important for the specific usage.

This is why the best combination (currently) is a somewhat elastic -but scratch prone- display that can take some beating AND on top of that an easily replaceable tempered glass protector to take the scratches. And whenever the protector brakes, you 'immediately' replace it. For many phones you can find them for a few pounds on e.g. ebay. So buy a stack, and replace as needed.
(The ones with a curvature following the edges are usually a bit more expensive, but even for a rare device like the BB Priv, I can get curved tempered glass protectors for about £2...)

Clearing the stock that no ones wanted. lol They should gift them for free and then earn money and profit repairing them, like the scratches on the Z2 force display, etc.

We expect the Z3 Force is closing in so no big surprise they want to clear stock :)

Solid pricing plus solid phones equals greatness.

Nice innovation, the best build quality, too bad marketing strategy not as good as apple

Good story. Also, if you want to save even more money, these models are available pre owned at relatively inexpensive prices (save for 6GB ram versions... although 6GB versions will decline in price eventually, in both new and used fashion).
