Its doesnt matter how to design ... as long as the price is high like all high end devices range.. a lot of customers wont look at it.. i prefer last year hardware but with Nexus prices.

I still dislike the backside fingerprint sensor on my Pixel. The 3 continues the same outdated trend. Unless of course, it's a health sensor that does blood pressure, lol....
The iPhone X takes a little more pleasing photos than the current pixel, but I have high hopes for the 3.

Anonymous, 09 Jun 2018Not true, Samsung, HTC, Apple and soon Sony use the same se... moreOf course, because before then they are already used a small sized sensor even before the dual cam trend, like Samsung (S4 1/3", S6 1/2.6", S7&8 1/2.55") or Apple (since iPhone 5 they never moved on it's mediocre 1/3" sensor lol). Except Sony (well it's first to them to equip dual camera) and Huawei (only on their 2018 series) though. HTC U11 are using 1/2.3" camera, while U12+ only has 1/2.5" camera. Even worst Xiaomi, back then they used 1/2.3" on Mi5s and then suddenly they switched to 1/3" for their Mi6. LG G4 is 1/2.6" and still same with G5 tho, but then G6 come with 1/3" (well i still don't know which sensor that G7 equip, but knowing that V35 has a 16Mp at 1 microns which is 1/3", i guess it has the same camera).
Most of them are moving into a smaller sensor, in order to save more space while they keeping on trend.

I just don't understand why these companies insist on giving us things we don't want and not giving us things that we want.
We keep saying we want a bigger removable battery, a headphone jack, a metal removable backplate, ir blaster, and great camera.
Instead, we keep getting a notch no one asked for and no one wants, along with a myriad of bugs and problems like the Pixel 2 xl has with the screen.
You really have to be out of your mind at this point to buy something like the pixel.

Jamesschwarz987, 08 Jun 2018Well, that's if they don't shrink the sensor size for more ... moreNot true, Samsung, HTC, Apple and soon Sony use the same sensor size as before. As far as I know only Motorola (Lenovo) used smaller sensors when they implemented dual cameras.

Saddened to hear the 3XL is likely an all glass back. Just when one had hope of not following those grease trap surfaces

I hope both Pixel 3 have a better, smoother-seamless glass to metal frame feel and no edge like last years embedded chassis. The camera on the back must be super good not to go the double versions. I am all for that clean approach and simplicity.
