09 June 2018
Industry sources claim the switch might be coming as early as this fall, on a new model.

The vibration motor was 4-5 times larger than the size of the vibration motor in the 6s. I'm not talking about the thickness, I'm talking about the size of the actual component. It's also one of the reason why Apple axe the headphone jack, to make more room for extra components (like their advance vibration motor).

That crown button is awesome. I wished that was the only button on the side (no need for the power button) and it was centered correctly. Also I hate that the Apple watch is NOT symmetrical, in case people here do not know, it is not a square it is an odd rectangle. Make it a "Square with Rounded Corners" in addition to the other change I mentioned, and make it slightly thinner from 11.4mm down to 9.8mm and there you have it.

(Though I still won't buy one, because I demand a Circular Watchface)

Thank god. All 3 of my apple watch including my limited edition nikelab apple watch always had its button stuck (not the crown button). Tired of waiting a week for replacement everytime this happens.

If only tgey add support to Android then it will sell even more
Android smartwaches have old processors and google is barely doing anything to save the platform

Someone Else, 09 Jun 2018It take a lot of space in the smartphone/smartwatch though.Oh, you mean like the Pixel 2 XL with pressure sensitive sides but battery size and phone's thickness barely got affected??
I would imagine a larger vibration motor would require more space (but my sister's iPhone 7 Plus is still thin and with a sizeable battery inside) but no way a pressure sensitive sensor would require that much space.
As I have said, I doubt a pressure sensor would cost more than a simple 1/3" camera sensor, and I also doubt it would require more space.

Everyone must use pressure sensitive buttons now.
They don't even consume that much battery life at all.
My sister's iPhone 7 Plus has a much more robust yet just as tactile feedback when pressing the physical Home button, and I don't see it wasting a lot of power from the battery.

Even if it doesn't make the phone waterproof, at least the concept can easily make phones more durable.
And how much does a pressure sensor cost?? I probably doubt it is more expensive than a simple 1/3" camera sensor.
