09 June 2018
This further backs the theory that next Note will go with a Galaxy S9 style fingerprint placement.

Plus I agree the button has to be mappable (on my S9 I coded it to launch YouTube.)
As for the FPS location. Atleast it's slightly better, not excellent but less bad.

Disagreed, a lanyard hole is great as it means I can have a wrist strap especially when taking photos or live-streaming when you're on the side of a boat, or a cliff, or anything that presents moderate danger to the expensive smartphone.

Sami - this is looking disappointing

                  1) Bixbi button - Must be mappable
                  2) Same dimensions !!! - Should have been at least 6.5 " Screen - Same size lower price is your eventual outcome
                  3) No news of MILT STD 810 G!!

not quite sure why samsung would feel the need to add a dedicated camera button when in the settings you can just choose volume as shutter, it might just be me but that seems a bit unnecessary, mind you i guess the bixby button is also pretty pointless without remapping options so perhaps it could be, an s pen ejection button is even more stupid.

Its obvious the button is for ejecting the spen not some lanyard hole why on earth would samsung put a lanyard hole there. So many clueless people. That fingerprint placement is still horrid, did they use E.T to test its location.

It's not. Just as there was no discernible difference between the practicality of the note4 and note edge. People just love whining without having anything of substance to whine about.

I used to love the note series and had the original and subsequent notes. The first disappointment came when I had to return the Note 7. I then had the Note 8 but did not like the placement of the fingerprint scanner and the long stretched curved screen. It lost its attraction for me. As it is called "Note", it should have a flat screen. What a shame that that there is no distictive difference in look between S8+ and Note 8 and it looks as if Samsung continues pursuing this line. I personally want a flat screen again. As attractive as a curved screen may look to some people, it is not practical.

People would use the Siri button and command Siri to summon Bixby.
