Of course it sells, I got mine for 580e, try buying a new pixel or iPhone for that price.

I live in Western Europe ,and I do not see often that new Samsungs or Iphones.Only older models or refurbished phones.
People more and more keep their phones or buy brands that are cheaper!

Anonymous, 09 Jun 2018Zero mid-rangers in top 10 is weird.It does feel like these numbers are doctored to get attention. Then again, mid-range devices often gets different branding every third month (at least the Chinese spam models). Maybe that's why they're not there?

iPhone sales numbers is ONE model while the other brands inflates their numbers by dumping everything but their kitchen sink in the stores... Oh wait, that graph must be wrong?

Only reason that Xiaomi is at 6th place is that the iaomi isnt in all 198 countries around the globe instead of Samsung.
Othervise 5A should easily score 4% instead of 1,6%.
Samsung without their expensive marketing campaigin and billboards plus TV advertising everywhere i look cant sell even a single device.
But this advertising makes the phone cost 300 more compared to price 2 months after release. Maybe its a flagship phone with a flagship specs but with a quality of a midranger or even budget phone.

With other brands it is a problem.For example the split-screen future from Android 7 works on Xiaomi devices with Miui 9.5 that works on Android 5,6,7 and 8!!! Also they are less affected from malware if they have recent Miui than other brands!!! You can't compare MIUI with other skins,it is not the same!!! For several functions that are standard in Miui,you have to root or install several apps to have the same functionallity !!!
Miui is Android on steroids!!!

At least the Xiaomi Mi 4 is still getting MIUI 10 even if it stays on Android Marshmallow, the Galaxy S5 is also stuck on Android Marshmallow, but no UI update for it.

If these are shares are as per market share (i.e. Price factor) of models then it means mid ranger sets surpassed the flagships. Less price means more quantity and more price means less quantity of units for similar percentage....
