OK, Jim's said that the bare 'phone will have std smartphone sensors (With Red colour science), but the matching cinema module *will* have red sensors. The 835x SoC might be old tech, but it is sufficient for the purpose of the basic 'phone, and going to a newer chipset would have pushed the delivery date back even further. The real processing power will be in the modules, it's what you need to produce .r3d files on the fly.
Waiting for my aluminium version to be delivered...

You see, RED is just recycling old cameras from the past and put it altogether to make it the most expensive cameras of all time. Don't be fooled by their "next generation cameras".
Hasselblad has a true modding experiments that does better than RED's.

At least we can wait something really different. Not like in vivo nex, that just slightly improved replica of xiaomi mi mix. But look now good bbk corp paying to observers and nothing new triumphs like revolution. And RED don't pay for observations and only thing they notices is price. That's all disgusting.

Before someone might redicule the price, don't worry it got nothing to do with mainstream flagship, and yes this is RED, even their f'in camera side handle cost $950, the same cost for a mainstream flagship just for the side handle
