Whackcar, 18 Jun 2018Motorola is one of the most underrated companies. Their pho... moreI think Moto phones don't sell well because they're overpriced. The brand appeal has been gone for a while yet Lenovo still thinks of Motorola as a "luxury" brand (And, considering that Motorola has withdrawn from many markets in the past, people have already forgotten about them anywhere but the USA). As soon as the older models get discounted, people grab them.
Look at the Z3 Play. Sure, it's a step forward from the Z2 Play, but not such a huge step to warrant the $500 price tag (For that price, I'd expect the SDM680/710).
It disappoints me that the current generation Moto phones like the X4 turn out to be underpowered after they're released (What's the point of buying the X4 when the G6 Plus is a copy of the specs + 18:9 screen ratio and costs less? There were geekbench benchmarks showing that the X4 would use the SDM660 SoC, why did Lenovo have to change their mind at the last moment?)

Michael, 18 Jun 2018This is late. Apple innovated the first bending phone which... moreHate to break it to you, but bending phones were a thing before even before Apple released the 2G. Often the screens and/or mainboards were destroyed in the process, but not always. The iPhone 6 was just the first to get widespread attention.

Whackcar, 18 Jun 2018I'm confident there will be a Z3 Force. That's their only f... moreI would love to see a Z3 Force, but is seems like they almost given up on the Z-series.
But I hope you are right.
Don't expect a larger battery, that would make them even huger with a mod - and these are designed to be used with a mod.
But IF someone was clever and made sandwich battery-Mods of different sizes, that allowed people to attach BOTH an additional battery and a second mod, that could be interesting.
On the 3.5mm, Well if no one is complaining about this obviously stupid decision (seen from a user perspective not a sellers perspective) then they certainly won't correct it.
If they want us to use an adapter, I could live with that, but then just add TWO usb connectors, so we can charge while using, without having to have BOTH an adapter AND a split-cable. It is the scandal with the aPple laptop with only one port all over....
I wonder what the next basic thing they will remove and require use through usb and an adapter. Wifi? Bluetooth? Nfc? Camera? it goes against the whole idea of an 'all-purpose' device we all got handy at almost all times.

Michael, 18 Jun 2018This is late. Apple innovated the first bending phone which... moreTechnically speaking, it was malleable. It needed,no hinges and could be bent wherever you wanted, that's next level bending.
Back to moto, hope the heating element doesn't fail or users would end up with a dead white space of burnt pixels.
