Still... nobody knows how much this thing will cost ??

And I hope they sell it with ALL the accessories INCLUDED in the box with the phone. See
Even if its an extra cost, it would be required to force people to get those goodies.
Otherwise the ungrateful crowd will buy these out, and use the phone only leaving the company to throw the accessories to the junkyard.

Not happening for sure because in India anything related to gaming will attract super luxury tax making the price at least 50% higher if not double the original price.

IsaacDroid, 18 Jun 2018Delaying the release of a phone is a big mistake nowadays, ... moreNot enough time to turn fashionphone Note 9 into gaming phone.

And an official ASUS USA page for the smartphone. I don't know where the site got its sources from.

The Asus Rog Gaming phone is showing on the official Asus UK website and also the Asus ZenFone 5z

So it will be as expected. No rog in Europe before Xmas. Yet another outdated failure from asus, that gets to the people 6 months after release.

Syn, 18 Jun 2018The reason for that is cos it's the OEM who directly sells ... moreThere hasn't been any subsidizing in NA for a few years now. There are no longer any contracts either. It all has been replaced by full price phones, and instead of subsidies, you can do monthly payments, over the course of 12, 18, 24, 30 months at 0% APR.
Most manufacturers in most countries have similar deals. Heck, even HTC does this now, directly from their website.

It makes no sense that the phone wasn't supposed to we sold worldwide when there is an official Canadian website of the ROG phone.

For those who complaint about the price, don't worry. The price will come down after sometime. No-one is gonna buy a gameing phone for this price 🤣.

We as a indian myself i can tell you one thing
                          India ≠ gaming.
Mostly we sideload the apps and games.we not rich enough to do that. Even if someone have the money, they still use torrent for games, music, movies etc.
And about this device,it's simply awesome way better than notch devices.

Timing really makes a lot of sense if the info is true. I certainly think this mobile cannot be expensive than any of the Android flagship(forget alone iPhone 8 Plus or iPhone X). It can max demand $800-900 which itself is a good money. When Note 9, Pixel 3 XL, iPhone X Plus etc...getting launched around that time, Asus can steal the limelight with their unique offering. There are quite a huge number of gamers from the younger population which would prefer such mobiles (though I am not keen in buying this though I really like it - I can't afford it now).

Asus is pushing its envelope with this mobile, hope it succeeds.

If they assemble their mobiles in India, they would get awesome concessions from the government to make the price competitive (like Samsung, One Plus, Xiomi and LG)

If this comes before the Pixel 3 and Asus has some launch offers such as one of those goodies showcased alongside the phone, i might get this.
