You can’t hail an Uber via Google Maps anymore

The ride-sharing app’s integration with Google Maps has ended but you can still send destination information to the Uber app.

In my country a regular taxi is significantly cheaper than an Uber.
Why would I even bother with them ?

    Restricting the user experience by removing features instead of expanding them is the biggest failure anyone can do...

        I used this feature and i liked it very much,as there is no need to go into the app for booking a ride.

            Well, I guess I'll stop updating my Google Maps app until a compelling feature is introduced that makes me feel the need to upgrade.

              Yes I used it and it sucked, as it would hijack the Google Maps interface until the ride ends, meaning you can't even search for anything or get directions to any other place if you wanted to.

                Uber should change their name to Triple-T:

                      Salah, 19 Jun 2018I hate Uber, they always charge too much.They charge way too much on mi city too. Also became kinda insecure after there were not a lot to of requirements to became an Uber rider.

                      I guess I'm not gonna miss hat option on Google maps.

                          In india OLA cab is available but they have removed uber

                            This feature was pretty useful, but when i used it, the driver still asks me for exact location, i told him "take me to destination point as marked by the app, this is my house's exact location" and then he asks me again to give him instructions on how to get to my house (or work, or whatever place i marked)
