If it is an American product or service, then it is a privacy issue in and of itself. Unfortunately that is the state of things these days.

Every smart device has privacy issue your smartphone, smartspeaker, smartwatch, smartTV etc everything
Google, Apple, Microsoft, Facebook, Whatsapp, Amazon, Service Providers and everyone else all collect your data
We are living in an Era where there is no Privacy some quietly collect your data (Google, Apple, Microsoft etc) others fool you into giving your data (Facebook, Whatsapp, Instagram etc)
You don't chose wheather to give your data or not
You chose who you want to give your data to
This is the Privacy Issue Era and I don't thinks its stoping soon

If the one being attacked while clicking the link is using a network that has a Google home device connected, the attacker can get information from the Google home device on the network, to find the location, of that network (and thus the person being they are attacking).

Wait a second, the statement ist: "An attacker can be completely remote as long as they can get the victim to open a link while connected to the same Wi-Fi or wired network as a Google Chromecast or Home device," So the attacker needs already to be connected to your LAN... isn't that the breach already?! For homes the Google flaw is pretty pointless, as I guess you know already where you are... ok, in larger Wi-Fi networks like a company, the attacker might gain useful info, however, if such Google devices are used in enterprises, they frankly didn't understand the "Home" moniker! Or maybe I just didn't get the point at all...

Eh. Even Google is sued for privacy leak issues, not just Fishbook.

Google Home itself is a serious privacy issue.

Privacy issues are everywhere. Facebook, Google, phones...
We are at a point where is not if we consent these privacy issues but to whom.
