Kiyasuriin, 19 Jun 2018Yep... which is sad for compact lovers. Maybe if flexible screens eventually start appearing in phones (I can't wait for that to happen, there have been amazing looking prototypes for years already!) it will be possible to have nice big screens in phones that are much more compact and convenient than today.

I have Mi Max 2, and I'm selling it. Consider my curiosity of having large screen and huge battery satisfied. The problem is that the phone is simply too unwieldy at 211 g (plus 20 g if you use a case), that it's not ideal for everyday use. Also, the selfie camera has poor color accuracy. Wish you good luck Mi Max 3, but I'm settled with my Redmi Note 5.

This Xiaomi Mi Max brand really has reached it maximum size. Cant get any bigger than this. What are they gonna do for Mi Max 4? This phone might be using SD636 as a base model since last year Mi Max used SD625. Mi Max 2 was disappointing after it downgraded from SD652 in original Mi Max. Xiaomi could also put a SD660 in there as a high version with 6gb ram.

Just 0.1" away from GPD pocket, with 2:1 aspect ratio and slim bezels it will still be manageable for calling while super lovely for gaming and reading. I hope it uses SD660 instead of 636, though.

Kiyasuriin, 19 Jun 2018Battery yes. but not big screen. some of us wanna go petiteThat can be done if the slim phone trend ends. Unfortunately, it doesn't look so in the near future (and may never be). So every manufacturer is playing on the big.

Octacore chipset 1.8 GHz clock speed probably Snapdragon 636 cannot be SD710 because the latter maximum clock speed is 2,2 GHz.

Looking forward to this phone. This will probably almost have the same footprint as the Mi Max 2. Never liked 18:9 aspect ratio phones but I'll give exception to the Mi Max 3 because at such an oversized 6.9" display, it can seriously benefit hand holdability by having an elongated 18:9 NarrowView display. (Not like those 5.5-6.3" flagships in 18:9 aspect ratio that seriously don't need the elongation as most normal sized hands can actually handle those screen sizes even if they were in the standard 16:9 aspect ratio).

Humongous screen is humongous. But that's awesome, I love large screened phones. When I was looking for a new phone recently, I thought about the Max 2, but the specs were very underwhelming, so I picked Mix 2 since it was much better in every way, only with a smaller screen. I hope the Max 3 gets some decent specs.

Anonymous, 19 Jun 2018Now they make 7 inch phones,in the past 7 inch were tabletsThey have for a while. Huawei had the Mediapad X1 and X2 3-4 years ago. Also, Samsung's LTE tablets (and others, I'm sure) work as phones.
I love them, but that's me. Nobody is forced to buy them.
