I have the same model and still at january patch and very frustrated to get new update with face unlock.
Did you get any update or knew any custom method to update to latest.

Just received an update today (6/22/2018) 8.0.0.135(C605) which lets me now use face unlock and also P20 line up night shot mode and May's security patch....I am hoping with 8.1 update they will bring the remaining 6 AI scenarios, super slow motion and camera interface.

I have the mate 10 ALP-L09 Australian model and still on January security patch...very very slow updates for a premium price phone

After the last update, i realize i can't use google assistant by saying 'ok google' or 'hey google'. Had to push the mic icon to use it. Anyone else has this issue?

Anyway Im satisfied with how my Mate preforms, with speed and camera, no complains.

I heard that Huawei will skip 8.1 for some models. Considering the soc, I'm confident the V10 will get Andriod P. Just bear in mind that Huawei has quite a bit of models to work on, and although It's one emui, there are variations between models, so just be a little patient. Huawei is also responsible for tailoring updates to Honor's phones as well, so their hands are undeniably full. Finally, its also good to manual download latest full packages from time to time. They seem to be some pre-requisite from updates sometimes.

I emailed EMUI on facebook before and they depressed me when they said that EMUI 8.1 + Oreo 8.1 are not planned for any device that is currently loaded with the 8.0 versions of Oreo & EMUI!!

My Mate 10 Pro is at March security update ..... So much from Huawei and their fastest update. I understand for low ends and lite versions, but for gods sake this is PREMIUM phone and your updates are slow AF.

I am using mate 10 pro in UAE, and still on april security patch. I dont understand why there are differences in update policy between regions. And I don't mean china here.... Some other regions using mate 10 pro are on june security patch :(

All phones u mentioned that received 8.1 are purely stock android system. EMUI got its own features and tweaks makes it a bit late for the implementation and certification approval for 8.1.
At least its the fastest among non stock android range, and thats impressive.

The update time for Android 8.1 has been pathetic. Especially them preaching about fast updates to android and security updates and being beaten by other companies.
Sure security updates come out about a month later than Google, Nokia, and Essential. Unless you pay for Funky Huawei.
