Both looks boring... The T-Mobile GS2 have no styling difference with every other US bound Galaxies (they all looks plain and ugly on my eyes), and the Amaze design looks very bloated with its MyTouch style cue. *yawn*

Only superficial people who care about the look, Smart people buy phone for their specs
Samsung is way X10 good than HTC with their very bad Camera and specs
So what if you have 5GB on dropbox? in Samsung you get 16-32GB! and in your internal storage which can work without internet and faster for files exchange.
What really makes me laugh when people say metal body! lol most people use plastic/rubber case for their phones so as either way your phone will be cover with rubber = plastic!
As always Samsung beats the .... of HTC in every way except 3D

Amaze is really better IMO than the Sensation XE we will have in Europe. I prefer its design (largely !) and it has soe important features the XE has not : better internal storage, better ram, hardware button for camera.

Ok, it has no Beats system...hem...it's just a profile with beats earphones...you can buy them (or maybe buy for the same price Jays D-jays or some earphones of your choice from AKG and others).

In continental Europe at this moment there is nothing really cool to have. Just the GSII (awful design for me) and the Sensation XE (in a while).

Still, I really need to change my phone, so maybe I will take the XE...but if HTC had the Amaze here, I could'nt wait for giving them my money ! Now...I'm waiting, if something cooler than the XE is released, I will take it.

"Like we mentioned above, the droid packs a dual-core Snapdragon CPU, clocked at 1.5MHz"..........1.5 MHz???!!! LOL....

                      because:
                      - qhd display
                      - metal unibody case
                      - sense ui is far more better than touch-wizz
                      isn't it enough reason?:)

HTC is priced more because the amount it has to pay to M$ for the patents... Remember M$ gets more revenue from Android (esp from HTC) than WP7 and WinMo devices last year...

i will definitely go for the S2, even if the amaze was priced lower, coz the sammy is just more jacked in every possible way.

t-mobile wants to sell more galaxy s2 units than htc amaze, and hence lowered the price of s2/raised it for the amaze :)

Not everyone agrees that HTC sense is a better UI than TouchWiz on android. I personally started off with my first android phone as a Motorola droid, and since moved to a Samsung Captivate. I fell in love with its build quality and the intuitive (but out of the way) UI implementations (my personal favorite: the swipe left or right on contacts to call or text)

Then I decided to try HTC Sense 3.0 (EVO 3D) since the ring unlock intrigued me. After using it for 2 weeks, I am back on the captivate. The materials were metal (a good choice) but was thick, heavy, and horrible on battery. And for a dual core phone, it lagged more than it should have. I think this is because Sense 3.0 is such a huge memory hog, while TouchWiz uses less resources. And personally, I found some of Sense's functions to be quite gimmicky. I prefer performance and useability rather than prettiness and lag.

Although Sense does have some GREAT apps that I wish samsung had, the TouchWiz UI as a whole, suits me much more.

BTW I know I am looking from the perspective of the EVO 3D but I have used the HTC Sensation as well and would choose the SGS2 anyday

RG, 27 Sep 2011It`s all about brand image, and HTC always have higher pric... moreWell HTC starts as the expensive one and later falls as the Galaxy S2's competitor Sensation costs much less, with Evo 3D equaling the price. It's about the contract and the demand lol.

A 1.5 MHz CPU is very very disappointing on the Samsung.
