    They crippled it by removing standard bands you'd need to use it outside the US:

    UMTS: Band II (1900), Band IV (1700/2100), Band V (850). No band I (2100) is shocking.
    LTE: 2, 4, 5, 12, 66, 71

    This move effectively turns what is otherwise a decent mid-range device into an overpriced low-end device.
