Google Maps gets updated Material Design language and some small new features

The latest Google Maps update brings big design overhaul and some nifty new features.

Still, cheap and outdated design. No option to set darker background. Burns my eyes in the night. I´m getting tired of "material" design.

        I dont think its a good thing...but...maybe they see some benefits...maybe individual apps can have more propagation than a single app that does a lot of things.

            This is Great I love new design but what we REALLY want google is to intergrate Waze features in to Google Maps. I mean come on. You already have it on Google Maps that comes with build in CARs Nav panels. Can't do you this for rest of us. We want Google Maps with ability to report stuff and see cameras and police and everything that Waze does but BETTER. I really feel we don't need 2 programs , we need Google Maps or call it Google Waps.

            Please google get it done !

              MD2 looks so bad compared to the brilliance of MD. It's a shame, really. An iOS rip-off.
