Anonymous, 28 Sep 2011too bad .. you are right .. multitasking is a fake .. ive j... moreYour either uninformed or just another lying troll!
Could you explain the techniques of your observation?
You need to understand that most apps in the marketplace are yet to be updated to WP7.5 to take advantage of the new multitasking and fast app switching features, so those apps wont multitask yet until their developers update them to WP7.5. which will start happening now that WP7.5 has been released to the public.

Blankman, 28 Sep 2011Yawn, not the old Smartphone multitasking argument.
It's... more"listening to a movie whilst emailing" HAHA. I know, but I figured that @TC most be from outta space or something, I'm sure he also listens to his game while emailing, I mean he does use Android. Not that there's anything wrong with Android, but these trolls are pretty inventive, you gotta give them that.

Yawn, not the old Smartphone multitasking argument.
It's just so that crappy Android owners can boast about a feature that's not used. "listening to a movie whilst emailing" LOL That's what pause is for.
Give me multitasking on a tablet or larger yes, but it's pointless on a small screen. iphone gets along quite well without any "real multitasking".
There's no argument here really. The End.

AnonD-252, 28 Sep 2011You can call it "smart multitasking" or what ever... moreThe need for "real multitasking" needs to be rethought on devices with limited power resources like a mobile device. I and am sure you and lots of other people do want the most out of their battery on their mobile phones.
Every app is not frozen/paused just apps that needs to be. To me and lots of other people multitasking on a phone is the ability to listen to music from any app and be able to do other stuff. The ability to have a webpage loading in the background, the ability to have any app sync and download data in the background without begin in the app (very useful for RSS apps, and works great with Evernote on WP7.5), have 3rd party alarm and timer apps work in the background without the app begin open.
All these and other instances work fine on WP7.5. I have apps and I'm written apps that do all these.

Anon, 28 Sep 2011Pity No Card Slot, No WiFi Hot spot or tethering and still ... moreWP7.5 now supports wifi hot-spot (tethering). did u even read article. And you could sync Outlook or whatever 3rd party mail you use since version 1.
Why do u ppl like u like coming on WP7 articles and lying and trying to deceive others about functionality that it clear has. I use an Omnia 7 and don't care about Android or iPhone but you wont find me on an Android or iPhone article trolling and spreading lies.
@TC You must very smart I bet you work at Google. There is a reason its called smart multitasking. Can you explain the point of having a game running in the background eating on battery when I'm not even playing it? This is not a PC with unlimited power resources. WP7 freezes the game and you can instantly resume your game at the point where u left it without having the game drain you battery. I recently had a game frozen for over 12 hours and was able to instantly continue from where i left off with out recharging my Omnia 7.
In situation where u actually need something to run in the background like listen to music, a timer application or download a file and not have the actually application open WP7.5 now supports all of that.

Pity No Card Slot, No WiFi Hot spot or tethering and still can't sync with Outlook and or 3rd party CRM via USB. I guess we will have to wait to see what Phone 8 brings in 2013 or 2014.It's seems their focus with Mango 7.5 is for the 16 to 21 age group who have the time to waste playing games and social networking. Because of MS lack of foresight, RIM followed by Android is still my firms choice although we do have some iPhone's for the applelites fundamentalist trendies as a fashion accessory. Perhaps that is what MS Mango 7.5 is trying to emulate rather than developing a serious phone for business use.
