I bought this beautiful phone... but know that it is not supporting calling software like mobile dialer etc.

What, like they did with the n900. You got lots of stuff for that from Nokia. Oh no you never, you got lots of stuff from maemo.org but big fat nothing from Nokia. And thats how much of my money they will be getting.

Nokia is now going the right way- no court cases on other companies, regular updates, etc.
Nokia had to learn the hard way but it is on the right track now.
Still, I feel Nokia has so much catching up to do- Samsung just announced a 16 MP Camera and 1.5 Ghz chipset...
When will Nokia catch up to this? When Samsung gets further beyond this level, huh?

When i have this beautiful,powerful and almost complete smartphone today, I will cherish it for the rest of my life. Iphone 4 and Samsung Galaxy is nothing compare to this NOkia N9!!! ngehehehehe

Sad, as they had so much promise. Such a folly to scuttle this and bring in Windows Mobile.. The biggest mistake was hiring a Microsoft CEO.. a company who hasn't had any measure of success with mobile operating systems. They would have been better off with a fork of Android and continuing development on Meego. Fools

Meltemi: Nokia has always said that we will se features form the N9 in future products. My interpolation is that, we will see a nokia linux based system relieving Symbian at some point in 2014 properly with strong ties to Meamo/meego. somthing like Tizen but with QT support. the N9 is the base/test bench for this development, and therefor we will continually see new features mainly in the UI/harmattan. The underlying linux os is not where teh revolution will take place. If the Tizen project will have influence on this i can not say, but. i thing that the platforms will be able to share apps to some extent.

i dont get this nokia tries to sell high end phones like n8 and n9 and then the same person needs to wait for sw updation until the updation he has to wait and bear all the sw glitches and wat about ppl who doesnt know about software updation they end up in nokia care center and pay extra for updation.
cellphones have basic nessecities of life u should have a spare phone if u have a nokia high end models
NOKIA tries to lure its people to buy its high end phones and tell them to wait for new latest firmware.
i say nokia is the best since the beginning now it has becoming worst bcoze it cares about the competetion not about customer satisfaction.
