Fir example, wired headphones give you audio quality, a good price, and never having to use a charger for them. However, when working out, wires can get in the way and damage you or your smartphone. Opposite to that is Bluetooth. What you lose in audio quality and not needing to charge, you get convenience, and for a lot of people, that's more important than quality

Also, how hard is it to connect it when you just press a button and it connects to your phone? You can charge it overb, especially if you got one of the 10 or 12 hour battery ones, and for truly wireless, battery life can go up to 6 hours on some versions, though 4 and 5 are the most common after 3. The biggest downside is sound quality, and if you can live with that, then you'll be fine

The new Qualcomm chip QCC 3026 does support Bluetooth 5, but does NOT support AptX HD. It does not support so-called HD audio. It just support old AptX Classic. The chip is for earphone for budget market, sold at less than $100.

There is more expensive chip called QCC5100 made by Qualcomm. It was announced on Feb. this year. The chip supports AptX HD and 24 bit/96 kHz, high resolution audio. The chip is aimed for $200 range high-end earphone market like Apple AIrPod.

Walter C. Dornez, 30 Jun 2018I mean, most people go with Bluetooth because of convenienc... moreI just explained the reason why the tiny wireless earbuds sound so tinny. Since the battery has to be tiny the DAC and headphone amp will have to be low gain, if the amp is low gain the "speakers" will have to be extremely low impedance and then you end up losing the concert hall feeling and get a tinny phone booth sized sound. They'll surely improve the efficiency on coils and membranes over the years. Evolution has after all taken giant leaps on headphones over the last couple of decades, but for now you'll have to make do with either a cable, some sort of external battery (like the Sennheiser HD1 Free) or tinny sound. I think the Gear Icon X is one of the few current wireless earbuds capable of lossless sound, so it's not the wireless transmission ruining your sound it's the lack of a big battery.

The thing is though, i WANT to know what I’m missing cuz i can feel something missing when im listening

These bluetooth earphones has to use extremely low impedance coils or else they'd drain their tiny batteries in minutes. So, they're sacrificing a lot of sound stage and clean sounding oomph.

Walter C. Dornez, 29 Jun 2018Oh, that explains the sound from the Samsung Icon X.Samsung uses a custom lossless container as far as I know, because aptX HD wasn't out when Samsung wanted it. Also, Android's native bluetooth functionality was pretty terrible up until last year.

But most importantly, AptX HD is not lossless, though their marketing wants you to believe otherwise. "Unlike the name suggest the codec is still considered lossy" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AptX#aptX-HD
There is no way to send lossless over bluetooth since there is not enough bandwidth.

Dornez, 29 Jun 2018Can you explain that aptX stuff, cuz I have no idea what th... moreaptX is a container for audio over bluetooth, made to reduce lag and avoid clipping. There are a few iterations of it, aptX being the first and aptX HD being a more advanced standard. aptX HD supports lossless sound while the original only supports something like 320-ish kbps mp3. It's not bad, in fact you'd have to listen hard to notice the difference while moving outdoors with all the noise around you but, it isn't lossless.

Moj, 29 Jun 2018hope it brings wired top class headphone quality! Agreed. For the record everyone: GSM Arena needs more positive feedback in these confines like this person has posted. That's not to say that I don't post thoughts related to issues that upset me, but I try to not go overboard with literary diatribes.
