Photos show an iPhone fast charger with USB-C

02 July 2018
Current chargers end with a USB-A port, which makes the cables bundled with them incompatible with new MacBooks. And they are sloooooooow.

Luxor, 03 Jul 2018Another "sold separately" stunt from Apple. I have a 50/50 feeling that is more likely to happen.
Either sell it separately or sensationalize such feature as if it is huge leap in mobile charging technology.

So sad that USB type-A to type-C dongle isn't common here.

People here don't use to have a laptop that only has a type-C USB. Even a USB type-C phones are still rare here.

Maybe a different story in US.

      Hahahaha funny.
When comes to handy apple would get as low as to use USB-C over the lightning connector.
By the way lightning someone could expect the speed of lightning bolt but no. If i start bycicling and using dynamo connected to phone by cable i can charge the phone much faster than waiting for standart apple charger to do the job.
By the way apple batteries will not handle these new chargers.
Either they will overheat or explode.
But the fact is due to I.N.S.A.N.E. S.T.U.P.I.D.I.T.Y. of their CEO this brand can be compared with Titanic :-)

and I got a 25W charger with my moto x force in 2015... Apple still waaaaay behind in charger tech.
also will they be improving the batteries, many explode with the 1A charger as they cant handle it.
And not to mention charge cycles.. are they going to improve or get even worse, as apple have the worst degradation of all OEM batteries.

Droidtard, 03 Jul 2018And guess what. Upcoming Pixel phones will include a "Notch... moreSo? I am proud being an android girl. I love freedom!

memes are cool, 03 Jul 2018so it took them 3 years to catch up on type c.. smh.. pathetic If you would know the politics of apple, you would know Apple does not use standard cause it wants MONEY. They won't do to much money out of standard tech, now ain't it? This guys learned a long time ago they could make money out of a sinple tech as a port can.be. they will probably abandon tthe form, cause well, thei lighting port never really got out of apple ecosystem but they will probably use other tech to go with the form, so that standard devices will not function, or at least not correctly. That way they can still keep high prices on a insignificant as a cable can.be.

But why be stupid by using lightning?
                    Why not use thunderbolt 3?

I do have any army of phones from Huawei, Oppo and Vivo, all using their supplied chargers and they do charge way faster than any iPhones out there... Apparently, I just wouldn't understand wall higher still exists in 2018... And not all are fast charging, most are just basic 2A...

Also to add on, those original supplied Apple chargers loved to get hotter while charging, the cable included...

Another "sold separately" stunt from Apple.

My Redmi 5 Plus with the original charger can charge my 4000mAh battery phone in approximately 2hrs, and that's not even the fastest one for a smartphone of this battery capacity. Nonetheless, it's way faster than my sister's iPhone 7 Plus, which also uses its own original charger, and takes more than 2 and a half hours to 80%.
