They have just flat screenpanels.I thought that the Samsung CEO would actually remove the curved edge screen after he held Chinese phones that uses their own OLED screens (and also claimed that they felt better in the hand than their own phones).

    This is why I haven't really considered a Samsung flagship since this curved edge thing has started.
    Imagine this Note 9 with its bezel size but the front design of the A8 2018 devices; it would look so manly sick!
    The V30 is what the Note 8 should've been if Samsung truly values the meaning of a practical and productive phone.

        There are still some ways to make a great-looking phone without having to sacrifice its overall functionality. Trimming bezels is a nice way of making phones practical, which is by making the screen larger but not the overall size of the phone, though we're definitely spoiled by too much 6" screens when we could make 5.5" screens that are very compact.

          Is there any serous reason(invention) to buy Note 9 instead of Note 8? Yes, there will be SD845, but lets admit it: most is software changes and they all are small improvements.
          This phone production race start to be annoying.
          And the fan boys from both camps are hilarious.

              Purple! If I had the money for a Note9, I'd totally get the purple one. It reminds me of the purple Gameboy Color from when I was little.

                Oppaii, 03 Jul 2018Gotta say that rear design is ugly. Eh~ I'm willing to sacrifice. I agree that it looks horrid, and I'd prefer having it with a UDFPS, but I need it mainly because my FE is starting to act up, and Note 8 is not going to cut it with the laughable endurance.

                    That edge only leads to accidental touches. Most people don't even use the edge features. Why can't they release a flat version?

                      Thats design is really pathetic.
                      Samsung is really lack of people with some grey cells in brain.
                      Even Toshiba G450 looks trilliion times better and more promising than Note 9.

                              The only thing that Samsung needs to improve is software fluidity & support. I'd be happy to buy this design in coming years too. This is one of the best looking device even with slight bezels and personally i don't mind some bezels. Good luck Samsung!!!

                                    Gotta say that rear design is ugly.

                                      So I guess a curved and distorted image is now considered "professional" that it has to be a feature on a phone that's supposed to be a productive phone.

                                      RIP contents that don't get distorted on the edges because of some stupid "aesthetic" and "futuristic" purposes.
                                      Yes, I hate it, to a point that I'd even pick a big notch over it.
