Great. More functionality to S-pen.

Anonymous, 04 Jul 2018when is the launch date of the Galaxy XRelease is scheduled for December 2018, or first quarter of 2019.

Business class customers, gamers, heavy media consumers, techies, tinkerers, entrepreneurs, and the like are all about to get what they have been desperately wishing for...a device that changes EVERYTHING!

Samsung is unapologetically creating an entirely new category/standard for mobile interaction as we know it. Those who choose to turn a blind eye to this engineering marvel will be left behind, and rightfully so.

I'll likely trade in my Samsung Galaxy S8+ for the Galaxy Note 9 next month, and then trade it in for the Galaxy X through pre-order.

Here are a couple of videos to give a great idea of what's to come. Of course, specs/design are subject to change. However, I think the design is spot on. Time will reveal.

when is the launch date of the Galaxy X

Geric.770, 04 Jul 2018So this "Banana yellow" color variant wasn't coming at all.Yeah I was excited about that for a minute

FreezeGame, 04 Jul 2018Per usual, Samsung has shocked the world with another first... moreNot a huge fan of Samsung, but I totally agree! S9 +, Note 9 and upcoming Galaxy X are the only phones to get excited about!
Even if you consider the current 2018 phones only Samsung offers no compromise devices with every thing you could ask for like headphone jack, oled screen, no notch, thin bezels, wireless charging.. The list goes on, meanwhile other manufacturers are removing headphone jacks then there is notch fever and flagships with average contrast LCDs.

            Hm... Interesting.

Per usual, Samsung has shocked the world with another first! There is no doubt that a host of useful features will be implemented, which take sole advantage of the S-Pen's new Bluetooth functionality. Great job, Sammy!

The Galaxy Note 9, Galaxy S10, and the Galaxy X are the only devices worth getting excited about. Everything else pales in comparison.

All mainstream phone are big size over 6" now. Nothing else to flaunt about the Galaxy Note phone so divert all attention to the Spen. The last standing feature of Note series that havent been copied by other phone. Hope they do well during event. Show us something that no one else can do.

Samsung and Apple are legendary in battery saving techniques.
Samsung is able to implement ALL android features, NO compromised, and yet provide good battery life. Unlike Xiaomi for example, aggressive killing of services and process result in some notification not received.
Apple in another case SHAME your 3000 / 4000 mAH phone with HALF that capacity.

Better educate yourself on the GSMArena's Battery Endurance rating. Rather then stare blindly at mAH specs.

O S, 04 Jul 2018It is using Bluetooth LE. The LE stands for Low Energy; i... moreThe real question is if Samsung did indeed implement this PROPERLY.

In order to do something "properly", you do have to do extensive development and maybe sacrifice yourself a bit in order to be properly implemented to have the badge of honor to say I am the only one in my league that isn't energy hungry.

The LE stands for Low Energy; it consumes very very very little power.
If implemented properly it shouldn't reasonably affect how long your phone battery last.

So this "Banana yellow" color variant wasn't coming at all.

I'm desperately trying to understand why I would want music controls on the S Pen. Chances are that for many they will have headphones that already have them. Failing that by the time you get the S pen out of the phone you already have the phone in your hand, so at that point you might as well use the screen. It just comes across as a pointless gimmick that I don't want that causes a problem with shorter battery life that I didn't have before for something I didn't want in the first place.

Pabliell, 04 Jul 2018For me personally that's all bad news. The S Pen was great ... moreThey keep on creating useless stuff to worsen an already bad battery life. 1000+ $ phone that can't even last at least 2 days on normal usage, and people are excited about this.

For me personally that's all bad news. The S Pen was great because it was great utility without the need of energy. Now it will need a battery and a charge, probably from the phone itself, but this means shorter time on a charge, since the stylus is going to use power as well.

                                      MILT 810G ?? 4500 mAh
Ruggedness and battery life are most important

A Stylus with a recorder will be very helpful. So i want to see it.
