I got my Zenfone 5z 6/64 for a month ago here in Denmark.
I really can say, this is a super nice phone... Well done Asus.
I sold my Samsung Note 8 after 1 week, was tired of Samsung and i needed a little more width on the display, i dont like the new 18:9 format most phones come with now.
Im used to big inch display, but its hard to find now a days, sadly.
Im waiting for the Huawei Honor Note 10, Xiaomi Mi Mix 3, Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 pro, Xiaomi Mi Max 3 or the Xiaomi Mi Max 3 pro, when one of them will be released im there to buy... BIG DISPLAY THX 😀

But the sheer population means that people who can buy this phone (in pure numbers, not percentage) would be a lot more than many other countries, besides the market is not as saturated as china, so it kinda makes sense for them to launch it here ASAP

Luxor, 04 Jul 2018Very aggresive indeed. Hope that goes for global pricing as... moreNo way. This price is achieved because it is selling only online. ie. No cuts for distributor, retailer and so on. I don't think customers from other countries will be progressive enough to buy online like Indians do.

In India, even an engineering graduated guy would get monthly wage barely equals to price of this phone. The reason why Xiaomi is major player here in India.

(but may be later, this time ASUS couldn't produce enough,
the ZF5 serie is very popular everywhere and a lot of countries still waiting for them.)

                  2. "And made exclusively for India."

                  but ZB602KL

Anonymous, 04 Jul 2018No it will not succeed due to poor battery and software support Poor battery? It has same battery as oneplus, which was highly successful in india....
Software, I agree, is a wait and watch game but they've shown that they are willing to learn, hopefully same goes for software

Make sure the availablity of service centre compare to Oneplus/Honor. Dont want to have headache if the phone running problems eh?

Good Job Asus... Really appreciate for the pricing...

VT, 04 Jul 2018In July only. They told that in the presentation todayI hope this time they actually launch zenfone pro M1 6GB with respectable stock. Last time they said they will launch 6GB variant in 3 weeks after the launch of 3GB/4GB variant.
Let's see if we can actually buy it because last time they said there will be no flash sale but it's a flash sale after all. If the demand is huge there supply should be huge too we are not talking about startup like Oneplus and Xiaomi which has small business we are talking about well established company more than decade, not impressed with their supply.

                                    Lovely -it has USB C..!

                                      Very good pricing.
Few days ago, there were some self proclaimed experts here in comments section who said asus won't launch their flagship in India.

                                        MG7, 04 Jul 2018Asus should launch zenfone 5 SD635 tooUnlikely. Bcoz of 2 reasons.
                                        1. Barring the chipset there's absolutely no difference between 5 and 5z. So many of the potential buyers will then switch to 5 as the difference in day to day handling of both the phones would be negligible and the price difference significant.
                                        2. Availability of the Zenfone Max Pro M1. Has the same chipset as 5. Full view display. Pure Android. And made exclusively for India. They won't want anything of their own challenging it.
