Does anyone still use Swype or similar keyboards?!? Why would anyone peck around their keyboard when they can slide? It's proven to be much faster and more efficient. Google keyboard with continuous input.

Back then the OS can only pretty much do simple things and no one care that much about the camera cos quality wasn't good enough so people still have a P&S camera around. They can design the phone any way they want and user experience of the phone will be pretty much the same.

Plenty of people still use Swype-style keyboard input. Gboard has that option as have some other popular Android keyboards. Swyping is used by a minority of users for sure, but there is enough of them to keep the it alive for years to come.

Unlike today where every phone is a brick with altered edges and corners.
Diffferent appeal made every device unique!

I had Nokia 7600 was a good phone and different, I have always like to be different to the norm and this was in the days when the companies used to experiment with bizarre designs, Nokia and Siemens where the ones and Motorola to a degree my last different looking phone was that of Moto the Flipout.
Unfortunately today is boring there is no one willing to stand outside the box and design something different, I suppose you could say BB did with the passport.

Virtual keyboard all the way. Easier and faster too. Even got the emojis. QWERTY physical keyboard in phones becoming irrelevant.

Tried the 8pen-like just now. Quite good for stressing your mind to learn a keyboard layout. And, HOW to type them instead of pressing a single ducking button.

I had M600 and that was best keyboard I ever used. Fastest way to type. Finger slightly slided left and right and keys were big enough for comfort typing.
