You NEED constant and regular software and security updates.
      You NEED good customer service.
You NEED good build quality, not just "good enough for the price" build quality.

Budget phones these days have clearly understood the difference between Needs and Wants. hence they are cheap since they just keep the needs and avoid the wants.

Merwyn Fernandes, 05 Jul 2018As usual xiaomi skimps out on the camera, software Updates ... moreWell, This is no S9 or iPhone Competitor, its a $250 budget Phone, and yes the budget phones are getting better.

Just compare the Latest iPhone X to 3 year old iPhone, say, 6S(what i consider the best iPhone till date), how much better is it and the price increase is nearly $300-$400.

Now compare a budget Phone from 3 years back. Actually the new ones are better and cheaper, Hope you Understand.

and as for A2, it is a android one device. So it is one of the first few in line for updates.

It is a low light photo, even a decent dslr would probably use iso 3200, and there would be noise. I don't know what else to expect.

Anonymous, 05 Jul 2018Snapdragon 660 is already yesteryear chip, What are there t... moreSnapdragon 660 is still a great high mid range chipset and it's well optimized for Devices like Nokia 7 plus which is great and will get regular Android updates for 2 years so it's future proof too. Sd 710 is only 10 percent faster and it's not widely used yet but I agree with you that it was stupid to remove the headphone jack from this device because even if you use a dongle the wear and tear process will damage the charging port and make it loose. And yes a decent pair of Bluetooth headphones will cost as much as this device which makes no sense for a mid range device.

Anonymous, 05 Jul 2018Snapdragon 660 is already yesteryear chip, What are there t... moreYou want value for money ryt , To get some you have loose some , Yesteryear chips is equal to value for money.

People have come to expect higher mid-range chipsets for less than 250$ , Xiaomi has dug it's own grave , No one will every buy a xiaomi phone above $500 , They dig the pit they fall in it.

Though " The So called tech community / Enthusiasts don't care for year of make of the professor all they care is value for money. Give them sensors from 2005 , Body which will cracks like a cracker , Lollipop , Screens with Dead Pixel issue etc etc , Dosent matter it should be value for money.

Give them SD800 for 150$ , They'll will take it , Value for money. Performance , Beast.

Front camera is slow. It cannot even take group selfie. For back camera, pro mode missing shutter speed function. Its ok on plenty of light situation. Taking out half the light, blurriest camera on 2017 smart phone. Even there is a lag in viewfinder when object moving
