Really haters are disgusting. Gsmarena told its home country hong kong means Nokia x6 home country not HMD global. HMD Global home country is Finland.
And foxconn is there manufacturing partner as they dont have their own manufacturing unit yet as previous nokia. It will take time to setup their own manufacturing unit.
My recently brought Dell laptop is made in china that doesn't mean its home country is china. Dell headquarters is in US and same for hmd thier headquarters are in Finland same as nokia as hmd global is made from previous nokia employees.

Anonymous, 06 Jul 2018So why are the phones launched in china first?Because:
1. Nokia phones are made in china, their factory (foxconn) located in china
2. China is the largest market

Merwyn Fernandes, 06 Jul 2018And I sense your same old Conspiracy theory here , Let me g... moreThen where is your proof Foxconn has no involvment in HMD Global? You are contradicting yourself.
It’s widely known that
a) Foxconn wants to have more in-house manufacturing
b) HMD Global is owned through a complex structure of funds in third countries
c) Many who are holding top positions at HMD Global have had long careers at Foxconn

Anonymous, 06 Jul 2018So why are the phones launched in china first?Cause China has more people, thrice that of entire Europe.
So if your a buisness it'd make much more sense to launch you phone in the biggest market in the world rather than the smallest which is Finland.

For the people that still don't understand what HMD are after a gazillion people explaining it correctly. HMD are a Finnish company, based in Espoo Finland, made and run by former Nokia employees. Although, they decide of which phones to release, they have to pass their projects up to Nokia, the company as we know. If the brand Nokia accepts the project, HMD is then authorized to put the Nokia logo on their products as their contract for about 10 years says. In order to create their phones, HMD need a factory. Nokia has no longer their own factory after they sold it to Microsoft. And if I am correct Microsoft sold their factory to Foxconn. (not 100% sure) So HMD is actually using the same factory that Nokia have used back in the days except that the factory is operated by Foxconn. So in order to develop the phones from renders/drawings/specs to real life, they work closely with Foxconn and FIH. (subsidiary of Foxconn for product developpment) Those two work under the orders of HMD and they get the materials needed to build the phone and build it. Simple, really. HMD do the selling to which country part. For the people who are wondering why HMD is selling phones first in China, it's a no brainer. China is the biggest smartphone market, and expanding really quickly. So if they get good sales there and good ratings, they will know that this model can be suitable for every other market as well.

Anonymous, 06 Jul 2018I fail to see the issue here. Albeit I do acknowledge that ... moreAnd I sense your same old Conspiracy theory here , Let me get the facts straight , Foxconn has nothing to do with the ownership of HMD , I'll Repeat it in BLOCK LETTTERS "FOXCONN HAS NO CONNECTION WHATSOEVER WITH THE OWNERSHIP OF HMD".
Foxconn is just an ODM that makes phones for most brands including Apple and the same for HMD. So 2 Moro you might say that Foxconn owns Apple.
You need to stop this fake news immediately , For one you couldn't prove that Foxconn owns HMD in the Infinity no of articles that you have posted this fake news.
Other than your imagination.
