It's storage speed aren't slower, compared to it's competition.

Zenodroid, 07 Jul 2018You do know that Samsung started with flat screen, right? A... moreEveryone started with flat screen. So, what's your point?

The flat screen S10 would also have a smaller battery and fewer premium features than its curved sibs. So like before, the curved variants will outsell the flat version. You can take that to the bank.

Samsung is re-introducing the flat variant because they can't afford to increase the prices anymore without significant blow back. To do that, they have to cut corners on the base model--smaller battery, no FOD, smaller RAM, single lens, no edge...

If the flat screen is a make or break feature for you, that's fine. But it isn't for the vast majority of Samsung users, in fact it never has been.

But yeah, if I'm going to be gaming on a computer again, I still won't go for hdd over ssd. Not even if it's 2x10k rpm hdd in raid 0, I'll still go for 2 big ssd in raid 0. I'm taking pictures, I'm editing pictures/videos on my phone. I'm gaming, using the phone as dash cam, gps, control my smart home units. So no, I'm not going for the slower option, for the same price as the faster option. But yeah, some people loves it on the slow lane, and mostly they are using apple. In your case, it's lg.

And that out sold even the few years it has been only curved screen. Do you remember note edge? It didn't even make it to Europe. S6 edge was the first edged screened Samsung in Europe. Most of the sales on that model, was to try it out. And the real reason for the sales of s7 edge was higher than the flat screen, was because of the bigger battery. Not the screen.

It'd be no different now. It's funny how some often think they speak for everyone because they prefer a feature.

Finally, Samsung follow another LG's flagship key design after adopting its rear mounted fingerprint and long aspect ratio screen. This time is for the ultra wide angle camera.

I'm wondering, are they still gonna sell Note series in this case? Because biggest model basically is Note without stylus. Even now Note 9 and S9+ are too similar.

Give me the flat version and I'll buy it quickly!

Flat screen and side mounted fingerprint sensor ? Perfect! If it has a decent battery it will probably be the best Samsung flagship ever.

I hope the 'budget' model will have a flat screen and two cameras: standard one, and one with wide-angle lenses. I don't like curved screens, and I don't need under-display fingerprint. So this combination could be perfect for me. However I think there will be more diferences between a 'budget' version and a 'standard' version of S10. Probably the 'budget' one will have only 4 GB of ram, the 'standard' version S10 will have 6 GB of ram, while the 'Plus' version will have 8 GB of ram. And the cheapest one will not have an AI.

Zenodroid, 06 Jul 2018But slow internal storage. Still only ufs 2.0calling UFS 2.0 slow is like calling a Lamborghini Gallardo slow. yes, there's faster option (like Bugatti Veyron), but it's not as slow as eMMC or even the good ol' spinning disks. to be fair, since we already pair it with fast RAM and strong CPU, it's difference with UFS 2.1 are split-second in opening apps. besides, LG already use UFS 2.1 flash memory by Toshiba, though.
