Nokia turned into a brand name, and the employees turned into HMD, and they are no more a chinese company than Apple or anyone else who has their phones manufactured in China.

I don't care where it's coming from. It just needs to be a good device. The screen is popular because people actually like it. If you don't like it,there are options you will like. Don't try to make people see the way you do only

That's the ugliest phone I've ever seen.
Between its fat notch and massive chin, I'm surprised there isn't much of a screen.

These are some of the brands that Foxconn manufactures for , So according to all these brands are Chinese with stikers of their respective brands.

China do the design and r&d.
China mass produce it.
Europe license the brand/sticker.
So it is china phone with european sticker.
And i can say "It is a xiaomi/huawei/oppo/Vivo phone with Notchia sticker"

This Phone isn't a copy of anything , See back back it's original , The front the Notch is a technical problem , To provide full screen phones at a budget price , The sensors have to be accommodated with a notch.
Its Not like everyone is ready to pay 700$ - 1000$ for a phone , So the notch is a compromise , What do you expect for 140$ phones.

The point isn't notches are the craze or everyone copying Apple's notch. It's bcz of people wanting more and more display. The bezel-less display was the craze of 2017 and everyone (mostly) got along with it, this is just the after-effects of that. People *want* less bezels. The only way to get higher StB is to remove the top and bottom bezels. The top bezel has been done before and usually removing that means they have to move the camera to the bottom and try to fit the speaker either by slimming it down or using piezoelectric sensors. That is expensive, what Apple did is show the people how to shrink the top bezel without much cost and people were okay with it. People who aren't tech enthusiasts, who don't go out of their way to let the world know that the notch is shit, were okay with it. And that's what companies have done. It's that simple.

You can barely fit there clock, battery and 2-3 notifications... Because I see big 0 things that other apps can put there.... What is the point of such notch?
