And the norms for the market are much strict. My company does business with China. Establishing is the difficult part. But in this case, Nokia needs a partner because they are only technology provider and not Network Provider.

HMD Global Oy is a Finnish company. The NOKIA branded mobile phones are manufactured by Foxconn Technologies, which is a Taiwanese Company. The same company produces Apple I Phones. The discussion here is not about HMD Global, but the Original NOKIA Technologies. It was never sold to any other company in it's existence. NOKIA Technologies is the inventor of the 360 degree Camera, the 360degree audio , 5G Network etc. (Read in Wikipedia). They do not own a mobile network in China so have to tie up with a network provider.

The NOKIA in this topic is the original NOKIA Technologies and not HMD Global. 5G networks are developed by NOKIA Technologies. They are tying up with China Mobiles to Introduce this technology to china. Same like Vodafone or Singtel or Virgin Mobile or any other Network Provider. Nokia Technologies do not own a Mobile Network to introduce technology on their own.

They own Nokia Networks , Nokia Technologies ,Subsidiaries ,Bell Labs , Alcatel Mobile ,Alcatel-Lucent ,NGP Capital and Nuage Networks.
A 23Bilion $ Company , Whose Main Buisness is offering networking Solution all over the world , Including India.
They are Providing equipment China Mobile and Developing their networks and equipment.

I thought this debate of HMD global being Chinese was over!!? Lemme educate some people here who dont seem to understand anything. NOKIA is a mother company and it does many things, like offering camera tech, communication tech, network equipments and many more you can do the research. Nokia only sold mobile division and tech to Microsoft for a period of time but the parent Nokia company Still stand on its on, so to answer many peoples question HMD GLOBAL is a Finnish company comprised of old Nokia employees and it's located in Finland!. It's only doing business in china like many other companies because china market cannot be ignored.
