Very true this is the main reason they lack in their sales in India.
The phone is very good at this price but what about the update.
Cheap brands in India give Oreo to their devices.
Let's wait how long it will take to release Oreo to Q6.

When M700 (LG Q6) will get OREO ?

Anonymous, 12 Jul 2018I came to say the same... No love for H870DS which IMO is t... moreIt is not just australia has missed, at least some parts of europe i think as well. from another site, RUS, KAZ, HKG, SEA, TWN are regions which have got it. They will do it in waves for sure, and looks like Oceania/AUS isn't in the first.

It's not new for LG. I have a Q6 which hasn't even got the May update, because my region isn't in the first or maybe even second wave.

                LG g6 gets 8.0 and LG q6 gets 8.1.
                Never again LG

I am in the Philippines. I have a 2016 LG V20 and a 2017 G6. Both are stuck on 7.0. If LG would make a cleaner, closer to stock Android, maybe they could get updates out faster. Most of what LG adds to Android, adds nothing.

Now pushing for a total ban on LG phones in my country. Even up to the time the G6 can't be updated to Oreo.

zkmacnz, 11 Jul 2018Still no Oreo upgrade for my unlocked h870ds here in NZ. Af... moreI came to say the same... No love for H870DS which IMO is the best model of the G6 sooo... Seems like Australia and New Zealand are left behind. But I thought this model was also used in parts of Asia so seems odd to be left behind

Still no Oreo upgrade for my unlocked h870ds here in NZ. After all the hoopla about the new Software Upgrade Centre providing timely upgrades, to especially the more recent flagship phones, two & a half months after the start of the roll out not all G6 models have received the upgrade! Sorry LG, while I really like your product, if you're not going to give good support then I will choose a different brand next time!

Akhil, 11 Jul 2018Dear LG, Great job (Y). You truly deserve the title for ... moreIt is really pathetic LG is providing this kind of software support in India. Their customer support in India is bad even. When I have called them and asked when G6 will get the oreo, they told me, they don't know. Their service center in India is way too crazy even. I believe maybe as their phones are selling less in India , so they really don't care. I feel bad because I have 2 LG G6 in my home. My Pixel 2 XL is getting ready to taste Android P, But Oreo is no where near for G6. Shame on you LG. Even if make good hardware , your software support is terrible.

                                  Dear LG,

Great job (Y). You truly deserve the title for the "Worst Smartphone Maker" when it comes to providing software updates. I own an LG G6(2017 Flagship of yours), I'm from India. It's such a shame you haven't provided the oreo update for your last year flagship till now. I'm ditching LG for good. I will never buy it again in this lifetime. I will advise anyone planning to buy an LG smartphone not it buy it, and tell them to look elsewhere. Please, stop making false promises to your customer.

                                  Sincerely,
from one of the customers, you ditched.
