Nokia World on the 26th-27th October will be a Special day for Nokia,as since the N8 they have been very quiet indeed,an Samsung as bombarded us with phones with no competition from Nokia,so now Nokia will be releasing more smartphones with Windows an Symbian on them, hope we do get a update for the N8 the N8-01 we saw on a video of the 701-700,one thing we do not want from Nokia is not to act like they use to announce phones then take ages for them to be released,as Mr Elop promised that things will be speeding up at Nokia

AnonD-5197, 04 Oct 2011That's outdated. Samsung uses Super AMOLED Plus. Oh oops... moreYeah I agreed, a bit outdated. It's mainly targeted to anyone who missed that review(it has been 1 year, darn time is moving fast). But still can give a rough understanding of todays display technology

Oh oops "In the end it all depends on what you use the phone - and the screen - for. The I9000 Galaxy S seems to be the best performer overall, but don't hesitate to go for an iPhone 4 if you need more resolution for those web pages."

I just noticed something, look at the comments. Ultra Amoled and Super Phone by Samsung? It will be awesome if that's true

You're wrong. GSMArena didn't say which is better.
Also, could not find comparison at Engadget..
Making things up, are we?

That looks very nice and unique design. If I want to experience great Windows Phone, definitely from Nokia. If I want to experience great Android, definitely from Samsung. If I have both, I'm carrying 4 big names in mobile phone world. Mind blowing!

But if the name is Nokia, he will say it's crap, though every else is exactly the same, lol.

Nokia Ace should be the N8's successor. Ace should have 12MP or 14MP camera, w/ large image sensor of 1/1.83" size, variable aperature size from 2.2 to 2.8, 1GB RAM, 2GB ROM, xenon flash with video light and dual core processor and 1800mAh battery, and same specs as N8

[deleted post]I'm saying, assuming that parts perform the same, Nokia WP doesn't have any advantage over a Samsung WP in terms of specifications. Hence they couldn't get over the hardware limitation. There are so far no information about software limitation being overcome by Nokia so...

AnonD-40, 04 Oct 2011I say if Nokia got a hit then flood the market with variati... moreI understand where you're coming from, but I think different strategies would work in different markets. In Australia there's no need for a lot of different models to suit different networks: if a phone works on one network it'll work on all of them (with one exception).
My view is that Nokia could stand to take a page out of Apple's book: a very limited number of handsets that are distinctive and easily identify the image of the brand. For Apple, the image is "iPhone, and Apple, is a premium product". For Nokia, it could be "Nokia WP7 is a premium brand; Nokia Sym^3 is our homegrown smartphone for the masses; Nokia S40 is our homegrown "just a phone" for absolutely everybody." IMHO the best way to do this is limit the sheer number of handsets so that they can each be immediately identified with their particular branding.
You know what I mean?
Anyway, we'll see how it goes. I really think three is enough to cover all bases in the WP7 market and a mass of handsets with very minor variations would just confuse things.

AnonD-252, 03 Oct 2011I think Windows XP was the best ever OS from Microsoft! I h... moreAnybody old enough to remember the issues we had getting games to work when XP was new would laugh at your pathetic whining re: MS. There's no denying that like Apple, ASUS and Samsung, MS is a corporation whose one goal is to make money.
However, the change from WinXP to Win7 (even WinXP to Vista) was, compared to prior upgrades, relatively painless and easy. I can understand you not seeing the benefits of Win7 if you're not a power user, but the fact that the multiple improvements are transparent is itself one of the benefits of Win7.
I don't do blind brand loyalty: I'll go with whatever does what I need it to do. I've tried living and working with OSX and various Linux distros. Call MS greedy, but as a wise man said "Linux is only free if your time is worth nothing." Remember that when you're trying to get something working and just can't figure it out.
