If you need an ... moreIf you have a 64GB variant of Mi 8, I am SURE you will start BEGGING for a microsd card SOON if you use it for 4K video recording and take many photos which takes up a lot of storage, not to mention apps are getting BIGGER nowadays to justify the use of a microsd card. Some more, it won't be EASY if you switch to another phone from your 4k videos and photos in your non-microsd smartphone. You will have NO CHOICE but to use "SPYING" cloud storage to transfer and that EATS UP battery and data usage if you have metered connection. Another way is to get an USB OTG to insert microsd card and connect to the phone which means WASTING $$ on another dongle then you realize the inconvenience of the lack of a headphone jack (Need to connect a dongle to your existing headphones through Type-C) since there is only ONE USB Type-C port. So why go through ALL the trouble? Having a microsd card makes transferring to a new phone CONVENIENTLY as photos and videos are stored in the card itself. If you have photos and videos stored in the internal storage and the storage itself gets CORRUPTED one day, your photos and videos will be GONE. Then you will REGRET that you did not THINK TWICE whether you are cool without microsd slot on a phone.

JerryRigEverything's teardowns and his created clear back panels for some phones clearly show that the back panel of a phone is way different than this one. iFixit can also show that back panels are clearly different.

                    I believe that the back panel is just a sticker. It's not transparent.

                          Would be nice to have cheaper options :)

                          The 6GB version should be more more than sufficient for most people.

                            A question:

                            Transparent back? Is this really transparent or a back with photo of its internal?
                            If the former, then where is the heat pipes which is necessary for SD845.
                            If the latter, what is the point of buying printed back with internal.

                            In both case, absolute waste of money.

                            If there is an advanced heat dissipation tech inside the model, then it worth any price tag.

                                    Still compared to competition there is no better phone for the price maybe Oneplus 6 but thats it.
                                    Rest of the competition offers worse battery less ram for much bigger price.

                                      Its already more than a month for the launch of MI 8 series and there is still no official dates on global launch... This is poor from Xiaomi.
