So you got the Mi 8 SE, why post this partial review, rather than later for a full review of Mi 8 SE?

Wow surprising. The mid range phones after this will be very good performance.

Lipunx, 15 Jul 2018Why everyone so obsessed with benchmarks, geezThey are good way of testing the phones to the max.
But they're not meant to be useful to all, it's just a fun way of seeing how far can our smartphone chipsets go.

That's why I love this new era of smartphone SoCs.
Even $100 budget phones are plenty powerful enough to handle most of the tasks in everyday usage. We're even getting a SD820 level of performance for just $200, which we can only get for at least $400 2 years ago.
I believe we still have a long way to come, since the best of Qualcomm, especially the GPU, is still half as powerful as a basic computer GPU from NVIDIA.

So it sits just under Snapdragon 835, huh? That's amazing. In a 280 dollar phone, it's unheard of.
