Got one for gf just a few days ago and it is a marvellous device so far. Camera performance is on par with last-year flagships, CPU is really snappy - in everyday use I feel no difference to my S8. It's only in heavier games and benchmarks that the difference can be seen. I do like the gestures navigation, but I miss the long-press actions like calling assistant or opening menu - it is a tall device and opening menus with one hand can be tough. And I definitely love the lack of notch - much more usable screen.

While I like the idea of having Android as vanilla as possible, I think you can buy much better phones from Xiaomi, put Lineage on them, and have a much better experience.
I have RM3, MI4C, MI5 and Mi Note 2, all with latest Lineage, and they all work flawlessly.
Xiaomi should assign much better devices to Android One project
And I hope they will in the future.

There's a reason why Sony needs to save those vertical bezels.

Looking forward for the reviews, totally satisfied with my A1 so far.

I have the Miui version and I have to admit. I love it's preformance. the SD660 is snappy, and the 6GB of ram that I have in my model is really ample. I don't feel any bottlenecks. the lack of 3.5mm doesn't matter to me as It's not my music device. frankly. for those who DON'T CARE about the loss of 3.5mm it's a worthy one.

                                      People want stock Android.

                                      People want an inexpensive device.

                                      People want the latest specifications.

Considering the sacrifices (NFC/FM Radio & Headphone Jack), Xiaomi has provided a solid alternative in the Mi A2 and Mi A2 Lite.
