OnePlus 6 scores a respectable 96 score from DxOMark, beats iPhone 8 Plus

17 July 2018
The final score topped the Galaxy Note8 as well. With a 100 on still photos, it also edges out the Pixel 2 (but loses in the video test).

Another thing I didn't like about OP6 is the size. It's too big to carry it in the jeans pocket and there's no way to "extract" it out there while you're sitting :). S9, Pixel 2 and Xperia XZ2 Compact are perfect flagship phones in this term But it's off-topic though.

Only P20 Pro beats other flagship phones in night photography but clearly loose to Pixel 2 or Pixel in all other conditions. S9+ comes close to it. Not much worse at least.

Saw many comparison of this Oneplus 6 camera comparison and i think what DXO says is spot on. Details is abundant and bit better than Pixel 2 (some other parts Pixel 2 better, not far off), definitely better than iphone as well and that oversharpen video recording, it is true.

DxO is making fake news once again. Apart from night photography, no one can beat 'elderly" Pixel 2 / iPhone X/ Galaxy S9+ . No one! I had OP6, sold after several days of use (mostly making photos) and came back to Pixel 2.

[deleted post]Please don't be so quick in making conclusions. DxO is bullsh***ng everyone as usual. Get this phone (and all others who "beat" S9, Pixel 2 or iPhone X) first, play with it for 2 - 3 days, make tons of photos / videos and have a good look at them on good 24"-27" full HD or higher res monitor. You'll see that no Chinese phone can actually beat Pixel 2 / S9 / iPhone X in terms of photography. Only P20 Pro wins in night shots. Than's it. I had all those phones for at least a week so I know what I'm talking about.

It seems nobody here can debunk their methods, or show conclusive proof of rigging.

Can't join the hate-wagon without that.

[deleted post]Even I agree that the "cheap Chinese brands" are beating tier 1 brands in most aspects at half the price.
But you have to accept that the the biggest thing that top tier flagships will always do better than cheap flagships, is camera performance.
So, it's true that cheap flagships are more than enough for ANY user out there, it's undeniable that DxO giving higher points to OP6, Mi Mix 2s etc than the likes of Pixel 2, is simply BS

Dont trust anything involving OnePlus, they are a very shady and devious company.

How could it be? The camera specs looks can not deserve this point (Especially for 2nd cam). Hmm maybe I underestimate.

                              I wondering about OP6 VS AZ5z camera.

It's one of the best-looking back panel designs and color finish ever.

Except Htc and Google ( very close partners since early 2017) the brands that sell more phones have higher score..
