Honor 9N ready to launch in India as Flipkart exclusive

The internals / specs are so similar to Honor 9 Lite, almost 95% specs are same.
How sensible to launch this when Honor 9 Lite is already 6+ months old. Shouldn't this have had improvements apart from a notch and few insignificant changes done?

If you see 95% of it's specs & back, this is same as Honor 9 Lite in India

The picture depicts a much smaller notch than the 9i so maybe this one is squeezable? Or is the campaign led by Lenovo?
