One experience for sure! Never buy first batch, after 3 months of launch, Sammy's price tumble 30% minimum! Get updates, new colours, and price slashed! Can explain from note 3 onwards, and I plan to by by Christmas, with all advantages, plus new iphones this time three models, tough time to Sammy anyway!

Scram, 20 Jul 2018And IMHO people expecting Samsung to introduce a new design... moreI completely agree with you. IMHO, Sammy is the one that is doing right with the hardware as well as the software. They have started using less bloatware, UI is more smooth than ever, the unique stylus is really improving day by day, the HW looks better than that of many other OEMs (including iPhone, IMHO). Even their Exynos performs better than SD. The only problem is the price (you get what you pay for, IMHO). However, we now need an ARM CPU based phablet with full Windows. I'm sure Samsung will come up with one once the CPU becomes capable enough.

Anonymous, 20 Jul 2018I really cannot justify spending so much money on a phone. ... moreI can justify it. I don't gamble, don't drive fast cars & don't entertain expensive women.
In return for not doing any of the above is the way I justify buying a top end laptop and top end phone every 1.5 to 2 years.

Luxor, 20 Jul 2018With the specs it offer I could agree with that high price.... moreThis.

Some peeps complain about pricing. Then you ask them to name a better alternative for the price and you get radio silence. The Note has no competition. And all of the cheaper flagships from the Chinese have one or more missing features that should be standard. You've listed some of them already.

However, if there's one thing I'd fault Samsung on, it is that they've gotten complacent in the spec race. They used to be at the front and center of advancements. It took them a while to get on the 6GB RAM and multiple camera train; which is unlike them. There's no reason why the OnePlus 6 starts at 6GB while the S9 starts at 4GB.

They say they're taking their time with the ultrasonic in-screen FPS, but it feels like they're delaying it for the S10 instead of handing it first to Note users. Note users used to get first dibs at mobile tech advancements and paid a premium for that privilege. Now we get features trickling down from the S line + a pen.

AnonD-731363, 20 Jul 20181000 eur for a 300 eur phone no thanks. Next autumm will ... moreWith the specs it offer I could agree with that high price. Couldnt really find a cheaper QHD+ phone with IP68. The amoled display, iris sensor, headphone jack, and spen is a bonus most other brand ommited or never had. The base model even start with 6gb/128gb variant for that price.

Basically, cheaper brand offer their $700 flagship(LCD screen, notch, no earjack, no IP rating, no sd slot, FHD+ only) with 4gb/64gb memory and the price keep increasing close to $1000 if you opt for 6gb/128gb variant anyway. So, I see nothing wrong with Note9 pricing.

I really cannot justify spending so much money on a phone. You can buy a new 4K TV for 1000 euros which will last a decade or you can buy these delicate fragile phones, which if they fall to the ground are very expensive to repair. I want a phone, I can abuse, so I want to be able to go jogging listening to the music and monitoring my progress and not worry the phone will get damaged.

As the phones get older, the batteries will be harder to replace.

Even with these insurance products, they try to repair your phone, but leave marks everywhere. They don't send the phone to Samsung directly.
